Whole Women, Sustainable Ministry
Serving faithfully should not require disappearing personally

Reject the Martyr Complex
Exhaustion is not a spiritual credential. Chronic overextension can damage health, family, judgment, and joy. Rest is part of responsible leadership.
Name Your Capacity
Every good opportunity is not your assignment. Before saying yes, consider time, energy, cost, family impact, preparation, and whether the request aligns with your present priorities.
Build a Care Team
Identify trusted people for spiritual direction, honest friendship, professional counsel, medical care, and practical support. Leaders need places where they do not have to perform strength.
Protect Quiet and Recovery
Schedule prayer, sleep, movement, medical care, recreation, and time away before the calendar fills. What is not protected will often be consumed.
Know When to Refer
Ministers are not substitutes for licensed clinicians, attorneys, financial professionals, or crisis specialists. Wise referral is care, not failure.
Boundary language: "I am grateful you thought of me. I do not have the capacity to accept this assignment and give it the excellence it deserves."
