Meet Our Editor in Chief

We are honored to introduce the heart and vision behind this publication — Rev. Dr. Tonya Gipson Miller, President of the Women In Ministry Auxiliary of the Mt. Bethel Baptist Association of DC, Maryland & Virginia.

About Dr. Tonya Gipson Miller

Rev. Dr. Tonya Gipson Miller is a preacher, teacher, leader, and visionary whose life reflects the truth that a calling is not a destination — it is a daily decision to show up prepared, present, and purposeful. As President of WIMA, she has championed a culture of excellence, growth, and sisterhood among women in ministry across the DC, Maryland, and Virginia region.

Her Vision for WIMA

Dr. Miller's vision for WIMA is rooted in one conviction: women in ministry deserve both the space to be developed and the platform to lead. Under her leadership, WIMA has grown into a community where calling is cultivated, gifts are sharpened, relationships are strengthened, and women are equipped for meaningful, lasting service.

A Word From the President

"This is not the hour to shrink the calling. It is the hour to strengthen the leader. We are not gathering merely to be seen — we are gathering to become stronger, wiser, healthier, and more effective for the work God has entrusted to us."

Leadership Philosophy

Dr. Miller leads with the belief that true leadership is servant leadership. Her ministry is marked by strategic wisdom, spiritual depth, and a fierce commitment to empowering the women coming behind her. She exemplifies what it means to lead from the front — not for recognition, but for the advancement of God's kingdom through women who are ready, equipped, and unafraid.
